Payments

Payment Instructions
For the time being, we accept payments only via Western Union, MoneyGram, and Ria. Other channels may incur high tax deductions. 

Note: A 2.5%–3.5% non-refundable international processing fee, along with a 10%–15% non-refundable government withholding tax, applies to all international wire or bank transfers.

For all contracted services, an advance payment is required to secure your booking on a confirmed basis. The balance must be paid either before your departure from your home country or upon arrival in Bangladesh, but always before the commencement of services.
The management reserves the right to determine the advance payment amount based on the nature of the service and the time remaining before service commencement.

For certain services—such as Passenger Ferry/Rocket Paddle Steamer tickets, train journeys, or hotel/resort bookings during peak season—full payment may be required in advance.

Cancellation Policy:

Covid-19 Protection

If your home country is under lockdown before your scheduled tour of Bangladesh, or if Bangladesh is on the RED LIST or under lockdown, you may:

  • Reschedule your booking to an alternate date without any additional charges, or

  • Receive a FULL REFUND of your advance/booking payment (excluding payment processing fees).

Cancellations for any reason must be submitted in writing. The following charges will apply based on the date we receive your written notice:

  • 60 days or more before arrival: Full refund (minus processing fees)

  • 30–59 days before arrival: 20% of the tour/service cost

  • 15–29 days before arrival: 40% of the tour/service cost

  • 7–14 days before arrival: 50% of the tour/service cost

  • Less than 48 hours or No Show: No refund

Note: Cancellations submitted on Fridays or Saturdays will be considered received on the next working day (Sunday).

For cancellations made after the trip has commenced, refunds will be limited to amounts we can recover from hotels, transport providers, or contractors. Unused services such as accommodation, meals, or transportation are non-refundable.

Refund Policy:

Refunds for unused or underutilized services that are canceled in advance will be calculated in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above. Refunds will be issued only to the original payer. Please allow 2–4 weeks for processing, as this period is required to complete our banking procedures.

For refunds processed to a credit card or bank account, any applicable bank charges, processing fees, and tax deductions will be deducted from the refund amount.

Alteration of Itinerary

Before your booking is confirmed, we are happy to adjust your itinerary free of charge. After receiving your confirmation letter, any alteration requests will incur a USD 50.00 fee per request. Changes to the departure date or destination may also result in cancellation fees. All alterations are subject to availability.

Bangladesh Scenic Tours reserves the right to modify itineraries due to changes in flight schedules, transportation availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any resulting cost adjustments will be billed or refunded accordingly.

We reserve the right to alter or modify itineraries in unforeseen circumstances.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Bangladesh Scenic Tours acts solely as an agent for hotels, airlines, transport providers, railways, and contractors. All bookings, receipts, and tickets issued are subject to the terms and conditions of these providers.

Itineraries are samples designed to give a general idea of the trip schedule. Factors such as weather, road conditions, and participants’ physical abilities may necessitate changes before or during the tour.

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or additional expenses caused by natural hazards, equipment breakdowns, political closures, accidents, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control.
We are also not liable for loss, injury, or damage to persons or property caused directly or indirectly by third-party services or unforeseen events. All baggage and personal belongings remain the client’s responsibility, though we will take every possible measure to safeguard them.

We do not provide insurance coverage for accidents, illness, theft, or other losses. We strongly recommend that guests arrange travel insurance in their home country.

Medical Issues

Please inform us in writing at or before booking of any physical, emotional, or mental condition that may require special attention or equipment. If you require a wheelchair, you must provide a small, collapsible model and note that not all tours are wheelchair-accessible.
Bangladesh Scenic Tours reserves the right to decline participation if a condition could affect the health, safety, or enjoyment of other travelers.
Important: We cannot accommodate women who are six months pregnant or more.
