Upon arrival at Dhaka Airport, our guide will be waiting inside the terminal holding a sign with your name to welcome you. You’ll then be transferred comfortably to your hotel for check-in and a short rest.

Later, enjoy a relaxed walk around the nearby area with your guide — a great opportunity to get familiar with the surroundings, experience local life, and pick up any essentials you may need for the journey ahead.

Overnight in Dhaka — Omni Residency

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel at 9:00 AM and transfer you to the Airport Railway Station. Board the Rangpur Express, departing at 9:32 AM, and begin your scenic journey to the north.

As the train glides through the countryside, enjoy the serene beauty of rural Bangladesh — lush green fields, vibrant harvests, and endless orchards of mango and litchi. You’ll also cross the impressive Bangabandhu Bridge, the 6th longest bridge in South Asia (4.63 km), offering breathtaking views of the mighty Jamuna River.

Arrive at Rangpur Railway Station around 7:00 PM, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. After check-in and freshening up, enjoy dinner and take a relaxed walk around downtown Rangpur to experience local evening life.

Today’s journey takes you deep into the heart of rural Bangladesh, where life flows with the rhythm of the river.

After breakfast, drive toward Kurigram, a region defined more by its rivers than its land. Here, waterways weave through a landscape of ever-changing sandbars and fertile islands. Board a traditional wooden motorized boat from Chilmari and set out to explore the remote Chars — isolated sandbank islands formed by river sedimentation.

As you travel along the Brahmaputra River, you’ll witness how river erosion, floods, and natural challenges shape the lives of the resilient villagers who call these islands home. This is a rare opportunity to experience authentic rural life, where simplicity, warmth, and survival coexist in harmony with nature.

After breakfast, begin your day with a fascinating visit to one of the most historically significant Islamic sites in Bangladesh — the Harano Masjid (Lost Mosque). Built in 69 Hijri (690 AD) during the reign of Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, this ancient structure is believed by many historians and Islamic scholars to be the very first mosque built in Bangladesh, and among the oldest in South Asia.

During archaeological excavations, a floral motif was discovered confirming the mosque’s construction date as AH 69. Some scholars even attribute its foundation to Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (R) — one of the earliest companions of the Prophet Muhammad (SM), known for his devotion and leadership in spreading Islam.

Next, visit the Nidariya Mosque, built in AH 1176 (1755 AD), another remarkable example of early Islamic architecture in this region.

In the evening, explore a traditional village market (bazaar) to observe the lively atmosphere as villagers gather to buy and sell fresh produce, handmade goods, and daily essentials in an open-air setting — a perfect glimpse into authentic rural life.

After breakfast, today’s journey takes you into the fields of local farmers, where you’ll witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that sustains rural Bangladesh. Explore lush farmlands and observe the cultivation of a wide variety of crops — from grains like rice, wheat, mustard, lentils, barley, canola, oats, rye, and flax to an array of vegetables including potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, aubergine, tomatoes, carrots, turnips, radish, spinach, lettuce, bottle gourd, country beans, garden peas, and more.

Your visit offers a unique perspective on how farmers contribute not only to the local economy but also to the food security and well-being of communities across the country. Interact with farmers, learn about their daily routines, and appreciate the labor and care behind every meal.

After breakfast, visit the historic Tajhat Palace (Tajhat Rajbari), one of the finest Rajbaris in Bangladesh. Built in the 19th century by the feudal landlord Manna Lal Ray, this northern treasure now serves as the Rangpur Museum, showcasing terracotta artifacts, Sanskrit and Arabic manuscripts, and black basalt stone carvings that depict stories from Hinduism.

Next, explore the Kantajew Temple, renowned as the most stunning terracotta Hindu temple in Bangladesh. Every inch of the temple is adorned with intricate terracotta plaques that narrate epic tales from Hindu mythology, making it a masterpiece of artistic and religious heritage.

In the late afternoon, drive to Saidpur Airport to catch your flight back to Dhaka at 4:30 PM, arriving around 5:30 PM. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
